Nintendo Rocks, but you knew that!
Nintendo DS Lite. This is my new toy. I have to say that I'm probably the last person that needs another distraction, but this little gadget was too awesome to say no to. So I bought one... a RED one. I love the colour red, but there was so much more behind this little book like e-gadget. From the sleek design and perfect size for a hand, to the soothing and reminiscent 80's Renaissance Nintendo chimes, it's well made and quite sturdy! The Double-Screens are brilliant bright white LEDs and respond well to finger/stylus touch, but the concern remains, how much pressure from the stylus will it take from a 7 year old's uncontrollable enthusiasm? My concern on this topic is not for me, but my brother...who received his own little Blue DS from me. The Double Screens supposedly can be fitted with screen protectors to prevent scratches, but Nintendo doesn't seem to sell the right kind described in their manual. What's up, Nintendo?
All in all, I've been addicted to Brain Age2 and thanks to a good buddy, I'm also a fan of the NEW Super Mario Bros. Metroid is pretty good too, but it's easier if you have a "thumb nub" instead of trying to manipulate the stylus. My real love would be Planet Puzzle League, but I'm laying off for the sake of my graduate career.
Finally, I have to mention the Download and Play with Nintendo Wi-Fi as well as the ability to link up to friends in other places who have access to Wi-Fi. They can "Picto-chat" and even play games over the internet. You just have to have Wi-Fi, which is getting close to being just about everywhere now. This is probably the coolest feature of the Nintendo DS!
So go try it out or buy one or something, but you should see it for at least the technology interest.
