Score for the Democrats
Obama Wins! Yay for the Democrats! Unfortunately, the economy hasn't responded well post-election. The news calls this "post-election nerves" (Knoxvillebiz) but I'm not sure it's completely post-election anything. We've all seen the Gas prices, right? Other commodities don't seem to be making a plunge other than Oil and even that is expected to go up again (Bloomberg Commodity Futures). Most of the Commodities (Food/precious metals/etc) are expected to be going UP in value. Though commodities are traded on a different market than the commercial market, I am compelled to consider this also in my evaluation of the falling economy in response to the election.
Is this one of those coincidental events rather than actual cause and effect? I'm sure Republicans and anti-Obama folks are saying the latter. Certainly something that we need to consider though...
The Economy has been falling for several years now...how come we are just noting the cause and effect when the Democrat is about to take office...
To remind you... The Republican currently in office began this DRAMATIC drop in the economy...and it's persisted almost the entirety of his tenure in office.
But I am biased...I'm a Democrat!
