Yes, We Can!

I believe it. I believe that it's happened. I am a Democrat and I'm now a Barrack Obama Supporter. The issues are clear and if they weren't before, they most certainly are now.

The man said it best! "Enough!... Eight Years is enough!" Like a Democratic battle cry, the crowd roared with cheers and chanting

"Yes, We Can!"

I couldn't help wishing I was there among the camaraderie of my fellow Democrats.

Alas, the speech was an odd mix of the lovable Barrack Obama, who takes the high road, and a cuttingly witty and blunt man ready for a fight. I was surprised, but excited to know what's up next in the debates to come. I'm eager to see the fight and the real knock-down of McCain.

It looks as though Pres. Nominee Obama has got it in for the Budget. There's going to be a major cleaning of house for the poorly organized government programs. I'm waiting for all the tax breaks for the Hummer Drivers to go down the toilet. I am waiting for Green Tech to have it's big boost in the coming months. I'm waiting for science to take a front seat to misguided religious doctrines. I'm waiting for my friends in Iraq to come home. I'm waiting for United States science and technology education, funding and innovation to take first place again. I'm waiting for the students to come first again.

I believe it. I believe that my faith, pride, and love of this country will shine in Barrack Obama's successful ascension to Presidency. I will work for the future of America and the future that Barrack Obama's painted; a brighter future, a future shaped by our ideals and hopes, not our fears. A future that's about us...
